Principal Conductor Robin Ticciati and the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin (DSO) will be presenting the Fourth Violin Concerto NYx: Fractured Dreams by Lera Auerbach on 24 September 2018 in a German première, performed by exceptional violinist Leonidas Kavakos. Inspired by the Greek mythical world, the Russian-American composer named her piece, created in 2017, after the night goddess, paired with an allusion to her long-time adopted New York. The dreamy sound experiment is dedicated to the Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos, who premiered it with the New York Philharmonic and now returns to the DSO for the German premiere.
